-

Full Event Leadership
Need someone to own the event overall?
Bring me on to lead the entire program from planning through execution, up to and including the budget, team and workstreams, vendors, logistics, decision-making, onsite delivery, and post-event evaluation.
This is often the right fit for major conferences and business events that need experienced leadership without adding a permanent senior events role. Exclusive limited availability.
-

Event Logistics
Already have an event owner, agency, or internal lead? I take ownership of the logistics or slot into event workstreams, bringing the structure, rigor, and strategic judgment needed to keep all the moving pieces moving.
Depending on the event, that can include things like: overall logistics, venue and hotel, F&B, registration, vendors, attendee logistics, timelines, run-of-show, onsite execution, or broader event logistics.
-

Event Operations Consulting
Have a growing, scaling, or just disorganized event or event program?
I help teams strengthen the operational structure behind an event, from workbacks, budgets, ownership, and vendor processes to documentation, reporting, event data, and the systems that make the next iteration easier to lead, execute, and measure.

Strategy Session
Need senior-level event expertise without bringing someone in for a full engagement?
Book a Strategy Call for focused, one-on-one consulting on whatever you’re working through right now. I’ll bring 15+ years of experience leading complex conferences, corporate events & event programs, along with a marketing operations lens that looks beyond the event itself to the systems, data, pipeline, and business goals around it.
Bring me the event you’re building, the program you’re trying to improve, or the problem you can’t quite crack. We can dig into strategy, budgets, logistics, sponsorship, attendee experience, event growth, measurement, CRM & reporting, team structure, or the messy overlap between all of them. You’ll get an experienced outside perspective, direct recommendations, and a clearer path forward – without needing to hire me for a larger project first.
what clients are saying"Janessa is one of the single-most driven, organized, innovative, and creative event-planning professionals I've had the pleasure of working with. She possesses the rare ability to be both extremely detail-oriented while also seeing the bigger strategic picture.
She simultaneously understands the importance of mapping event strategy to organizational goals and brand values, and the crucial art of organizational change and project management."
Sarah Brown · VP of Marketing, Legilitywhere event operations meets strategyHi, I’m Janessa
Events have been the foundation of my career for nearly twenty years. I've led conferences, executive programs, incentive trips, virtual events, and other complex programs for organizations including Microsoft, PayScale, Smartsheet, Sony, Legility, and Consilio.
Along the way, I also built and ran my own business and expanded into digital marketing and marketing operations. That gave me a much deeper understanding of the business around an event: customer experience, marketing, CRM systems, workflows, reporting, attribution, and what happens before and after everyone is in the room.
So I bring more than event experience to the work. I bring the logistics and operational depth to make complex programs happen, the strategy and ideas to make them better, and the business perspective to keep the work connected to what the event is actually there to accomplish.
